A.S. in Nursing
Program Descriptions
The Associate of Science in Nursing Program accommodates two groups of students: newcomers entering a nursing program for the first time and licensed practical nurses or certified paramedics seeking to move to the associate-degree level.
Graduates of the ASN program are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN examination to become registered nurses. Graduates may seek immediate employment as nurses or transfer their credits to a four-year institution offering a baccalaureate degree.
To learn more about the AS in Nursing program, please contact the nearest campus offering the program.
Transfer opportunities are available with Ball State University, the Indiana University School of Nursing, Indiana Wesleyan University, Indiana State University, and the University of Southern Indiana. Please review these options with your advisor, consult the current catalog of the institution to which you wish to transfer, and contact that institution directly. Your local campus may offer additional opportunities for course and program transfer. Please contact the transfer office on campus for more information.
