Ivy Tech’s Practical Nursing program is a one-year course of study leading to a technical certificate. This accredited program prepares you to take the state licensure exam to become a licensed practical nurse. You will gain the knowledge and technical skills to care for patients in a variety of health care settings, such as hospitals, convalescent centers and physicians’ offices. You will also learn to administer medications and treatments commonly performed by LPNs.

Career and educational mobility are also offered for students who wish to progress to the Associate of Science in Nursing level. For more information, contact your nearest Ivy Tech campus.
