OCTOBER 4, 2005 PHI THETA KAPPA INDUCTS 69 INTO HONOR SOCIETY

Gary - The Alpha Phi Omega Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa inducted 69 students at its annual candlelight induction ceremony at Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana (Northwest) on Saturday, October 1. Phi Theta Kappa is the honor society for students that attend two-year colleges.

Bruce Brackney, advisor for the society at the Valparaiso campus said the ceremony is the formal acknowledgement of students who have qualified for PTK status. The society is involved in fundraising activities to support student and community activities.

Advisors for the society are Ethel Harvey, Louise Pollard, Genetha Hollingsworth, Bruce Brackney, Melva Brooke, Ethel Morikis, Lisa Feurbach, John Remar, Joe Joniec, Dr. Dale Downs, and Danita Harris
