ADMINISTRATIVE MOVES STRENGTHEN REGIONAL GROWTH
Ken Rosenblum has been named to the new regional position of assistant dean of academic affairs for student success and advising. He will leave his current post of assistant dean of Academic Affairs at the Valparaiso campus and begin his new position immediately. The new position will be housed at the East Chicago De La Garza campus. He will be responsible for a number of academic programs and activities that will lead to increased enrollment and retention throughout our region. In addition to other responsibilities, he will manage and direct academic advising, facilitate dual credit/enrollment programs, articulation relationships, outreach with area college/universities and he will continue to serve on the Dean's Council.
Sheila Johnson, assistant dean of academic affairs at the Michigan City campus will relocate to the Valparaiso campus effective Monday, December 27. She will continue her responsibilities in assisting in academic affairs activities throughout the region which includes implementing academic policies and procedures, monitoring all courses and special programs which carry credit, evaluating current courses and programs, developing new curriculum initiatives and establishing graduation and credit requirements. The position reports to the dean of academic affairs.
