IVY TECH GARY CAMPUS PLANS AFRICAN-AMERICAN HISTORY EVENTS
Gary—The student government association (SGA) of the Gary campus Ivy Tech Community College Northwest, 1440 E. 35th Avenue, will host a month-long celebration of African-American History Month beginning February 1st. The month will include the free showing and discussion of African-American films each Wednesday from noon until 2 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose room. Student voter registration will follow the films. The SGA has also placed on reserve in the Ivy Tech library the book, “Inner City Miracle” that details the life and success of TV Judge Greg Mathis. It is suggested reading for the month of February. Light refreshments will be provided. Feature films highlighted during February are:
