IVY TECH’S CULINARY PROGRAM AWARDED FULL ACCREDITATION
The Hospitality Administration of Ivy Tech Northwest’s Gary Campus has received full accreditation from the American Culinary Federation. The programs accreditation follows an on-site visit by the ACF that took place in September. At that time they were awarded candidacy.
The ACF commission met in January awarding the Hospitality program full accreditation in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Programs. Ivy Tech culinary chair, Jo Anne Bernal says Culinary Arts education is one of the most popular programs of choice for post-secondary students. “The American Culinary Federation has long represented cooks, bakers and culinary professions in the United States” she continues. “The standards set forth by the ACF assure graduates of the culinary program that the curriculum of their career choice has been guided by the American Culinary Federation”.
