IVY TECH CULINARY DEPARTMENT SUPPORTS 5TH ANNUAL “DINE WITH THE CHEFS”
Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana will partner as a proud participant of Meals on Wheels’ Fifth Annual “Dine With the Chefs” to be held Sunday, March 19, 2006 from 11:00am to 3:00pm at the Avalon Manor in Merrillville, IN.
Dine With the Chefs, presented by Meals on Wheels, is an opportunity for master chefs to partner in raising funds for meeting the nutritional needs of people in the Lake and Porter counties.
Ivy Tech will showcase several appetizer stations featuring slow roasted pork loin with butternut polenta, scallop ceviche, sushi rolls, and beef crostini with caper mayonaise. Other presenters will include the Chefs of Northwest Indiana and the American Culinary Federation.
To date, over $1.2 million of the total goal of $2.4 million for the new Meals on Wheels building has been raised. Nearly $100,000 has been generated from Dine With Chefs.
