IVY TECH COMMUNITY COLLEGE'S AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM
RECEIVES AWARD OF EXCELLENCE

Indianapolis - Ivy Tech Community College's Automotive Technology Program has been named the top program in Post Secondary, Non-manufacturing Affiliated Education in the state of Indiana by the Automotive Industry Planning Council (AIPC).

The AIPC selects Award of Excellence winners based on a complete evaluation of the program, including quality of faculty, program partnerships, program accomplishments, financial health, and letters of support from program graduates, current students, school administrators and employers of recent graduates.

"Theses awards acknowledge some of the very best automotive training programs in the country," said Fred Hines, ATech Training Inc President and AIPC Chair. "APIC is proud to be able to recognize these programs and their instructors. They all share a commitment to excellence that makes them stand out."

The Automotive Industry Planning Council is a national advisory group of industry leaders, vocational technical educators, and educational policy makers whose mission is to promote communication, cooperation, and excellence in automotive service training programs.

Ivy Tech Community College is the state's second largest public post-secondary institution with over 100,000 students enrolled annually. Ivy Tech has 23 campuses throughout Indiana. It serves as the state's engine of workforce development, offering affordable degree programs and training that are aligned with the needs of its community along with courses and programs that transfer to other colleges and universities in Indiana. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
