NEW IVY TECH PROGRAM TO EXPAND TRAINING AND JOB OPPORTUNITIES FOR NORTHWEST INDIANA RESIDENTS

On November 19, Ivy Tech Community College Northwest will introduce an innovative program designed to educate the workforce of the 21st Century. With the assistance of BP and other process related industries, an information session on the new Process Technology Operations Program (P/Tech) will be presented. The new P/Tech specialty is part of the Manufacturing Industrial Technology Program at Ivy Tech. This program will meet the ever-growing demand for skilled employees in the refining, energy, atmospheric, process and specialty gas industries in Northwest Indiana as they strive to build-up and renew their workforce.

As a leader in our region, you are invited to this session to learn about the training and subsequent job opportunities that are available to citizens for these industries. We hope that you will take advantage of this life-altering opportunity to gain information that can be shared with students, your clients and members of the surrounding communities.

The event will be at the Ivy Tech Northwest De La Garza Campus, 410 Columbus Drive in East Chicago at 2 p.m. on November 19, 2007. To RSVP, Please contact Bill Thon at 981-4402 fthon@ivytech.edu or Mike Worosz at 392-3600, ext 283 mworosz@ivytech.edu.
