Top Ten Reasons to Join
  1. KBD members have a leg up when it comes to job consideration. We look good on a resume.
  2. At our meetings, you’ll get the opportunity to originate, plan and become acquainted with KBDs contacts in Northwest Indiana’s Business Community.
  3. Learn from business experts, develop and practice your business knowledge, and gain valuable resume builders by-
    • Holding office
    • Chairing committees
    • Designing a KBD website, flyers, newsletters
    • Learning to invest
    • Conducting research
    • Planning/participating in seminars
    • Securing guest speakers & topic
  4. KBDs International, in Kansas, was established in 1997. Alpha Gamma Chapter (that’s us … Ivy Tech Region 1 KBD) was begun on April 21, 2001. We’re not overburdened by what everyone else has done. Chances are you can do your thing!
  5. You don’t have to be a soprano to make noise. Sometimes it takes a chorus. At KBD, we’re making beautiful music.
  6. As you build your skills here at Ivy Tech, you grow your reputation.
  7. At chapter meetings, you’ll gain practical skills & experience. Maybe you’ll even hold office. We can’t guarantee that you won’t fall but we will be there to catch you if you do.
  8. We come in different shapes and sizes. We share our course concerns and are hard earned successes. We leave knowing we made a difference.
  9. The Ivy Tech - Region 1, Kappan dream is to endow a scholarship fund (a 1-year, full tuition and books) that will be annually awarded (one per Campus) to 4 deserving 2nd year Business, Computer, and/or Office Administration students.
  10. If you’re still reading these, you really need a change. Head for Kappa Beta Delta.
